Hamilton Fraser share industry expertise with TV interviews

Total Landlord Insurance’s sister companies: my|deposits and the Property Redress Scheme, have both recently appeared on online and national TV, sharing their expert knowledge of the private rented sector.

The Tenants’ Voice

Eddie Hooker, CEO, was interviewed on Tuesday for the first episode of The Tenants’ Voice – a community and channel dedicated to the UK’s 9 million renters.

On the show, Eddie explained how tenancy deposit protection schemes benefit the tenant as well as providing invaluable advice on what happens to their deposit throughout a tenancy.

He also provided vital advice for students who are all equally responsible for abiding by the terms of the Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement in a joint tenancy.

BBC Breakfast

Head of Redress for the Property Redress Scheme, Sean Hooker, appeared on the popular morning news programme BBC Breakfast which averages around 6 million viewers a day.

Sean explained the law regarding the need for those engaged in lettings or property management to sign up to a redress scheme following the introduction of legislation in October 2014.

Sean went on to clarify the differences between a redress scheme (who provide a service) and the local councils (who enforce the law) as well as stating the potential consequences for those not signed up.
