Student Landlords: Key issues this summer

For a landlord to students, the summer months often prove an additional challenge. There’s redecorating to do, making sure everything’s in order – and of course finding the all-important next tenants for the next term. A lot of insurers don’t provide for this transitional time between tenants that forms such a crucial part of the year for student landlords. At Total Landlord Insurance, we offer 90 days full cover between tenancies, giving you peace of mind even when your property is empty. Most other insurers only offer between 30 and 60 days, which doesn’t stretch across the long summer holiday that students enjoy.

Unlike others, Total Landlord Insurance also offers insurance regardless of whether your tenants are professionals or students – and at no extra charge. This makes us stand out from the rest, as others often don’t include them at all.

So while you’re doing those paint touch-ups, cleaning pipes and drains and tending to the garden, you can feel easy about your insurance cover. There’s no need to rush into signing the next best tenant, but you can choose them carefully so only the right people get to live under your roof. And that’s the most important thing, isn’t it?
